Stats:
Weight: 15.5 lbs
Height: 25.25 inches
Head Circumference: I dont know.... big haha!
Clothes: Just started fitting in to 6 month clothes but still fits pretty well in many of her 3-6 month clothes if not all of them still.
Diapers: If she wore disposables any more she would still bein size 3's. Medium rise in cloth diapers.

How did I forget this one??? Updated: FIRST WORD!!!! You definitely say Momma and know exactly what it means!

Youve also started to reach for me and say Momma at the same time. If you arent with me but youre hungry you start to say "momamamamamamama" until someone brings you to me. I LOVE IT!

You can sit unassisted! You still topple after a while but youre getting MUCH better at it!

Sitting up alone!

First Father's Day! You gave daddy a candy bar bouquet, original art work you made with colored ice cubes and card stock, a poem with your foot prints on it, and a custom "First Father's Day" frame with your names on it. We spent the day with daddy, Mimi. Pawpaw, Aunt Erica and Cousin Towner!

You first artwork! I froze ice cubes with food coloring in them, put a few of those and white card stock in a plastic bag and let you play with it. It turned out pretty well!

You finally started saying Dada! Again, we arent sure if this is a word for you yet because we dont know if you really know what youre saying, but daddy was thrilled!

First time being sick:( Right after your six month birthday you got a nasty little cold and gave it to mommy too. You cough a lot and have a runny nose, but otherwise you seem to be pretty happy. Maybe a little more clingy but all smiles!

Daddy's father's day gifts!

First time eating solids! Your first meal was homemade avocado. Im still getting this whole making baby food thing down so I made it too chunky, but you ate it fine! We couldnt tell if you loved it or hated it but you ate about a teaspoons worth before you were done. As we've progressed in to food more Ive gotten better at making your meals and youre getting better at eating them. We originally started out in the high chair but I decided you eat better and seem happier if you can eat in your Rock N Play. Once again that silly little chair has saved the day.

So far youve had Avocado, Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, Pears, Carrots and Prunes. You also had an allergic reaction the day after we introduced carrots so we are holding off on those for a while longer. You broke out in a rash but it cleared up with bennedryl.

First time being constipated:( obviously due to the solids. We are working on it!

First time playing with your 9 month old cousin Towner! You guys loved each other so much! While he visited you did everything together. It was so sweet to see you two interact.

First time on the flight line! Daddy solo'ed in the T-6 for the first time so we went out to great him when he returned. We took you out on the very VERY loud flight line with ear muffs on. And you slept the entire time. Air Force Brat much?

First time ridding in stroller without the infant carrier. Youre such a big girl! We finally put you in your stroller forward facing and you like it SOOOO much better! At the end of the day I can take you for a short walk if youre getting fussy but it isnt bed time and you just get in to a trance! Sometimes youll fall asleep in it, but most of the time if youre THAT tired you just fight it.

 First time giving kisses! Open mouth kisses but you seem to know what it means:)

First time trying a sippie cup! You actualy do ok with it considering. You more chew than suck but a little water ends up in your mouth. Its just for practice right now.

First time playing in the baby pool!

Cute Things You Do:

You LOVE to grab noses and faces!

When you try to poo now your face gets blood red and you grunt. This is due to the constipation and is so pitiful, but it's so cute at the same time haha.

You CACKLE at other kids now and love to reach for them.

You love tummy time now :)

Favorites:
You LOVE sweet potatoes and hate Squash, I dont get it. They taste the same to me haha

You will turn your entire body around so you can see Dozer and you love to pet him more than anything.

You prefer men over women. This better not mean something bad for the teen years haha.

Your jumparoo is still a must have!

You love your play mat, ABC spinning wheel, bumblebee stroller toy, pull bird, sophie and crinkle book.

In Other News:


You sleep in your co sleeper almost every night now. Sometimes you wake every 2 hours (I think only for growth spurts though), but you usually do every 3 or 4 hours. After a month of waking hourly, I will take this! We still arent ready for CIO yet. You just dont cry for no reason typically, and when you wake up in the night youre hungry. I cant tell when you are or arent in a growth spurt and your day time feedings sometimes get spaced out further than Id like due to activities so I dont mind feeding you. Every once in a while we give CIO another go, but you just get so worked up screaming your head off that it takes me twice as long to get you calmed down and back to sleep. Maybe in another month or two. I dont know. Im not in a rush and since no one else puts you to sleep or wakes up with you other than dad and I it's really non of their business how you go to sleep.


You are so easily distracted now! Sometimes thats a great thing when youre fussy. But when Im trying to feed you it's terrible! You refuse to nurse in public now, even when I go to the car to get away from distractions you only nurse a short time before you want to get up and play. Right now the only effective way youll eat a good meal is at home, in my dark bedroom, swaddled (yes, youre no where near ready to go unswaddled). I know it's just this age though so Im fine with that. We deal with it and work around your distractions as best we can. Youre just busy learning the world around you:)

Youve started refusing a bottle. We arent thrilled about this but we accept it. Youve decided you DEFINITELY don't want a bottle any more. It started out with only me being able to get you to take a bottle. Now you act like we are trying to torture you when we put it in your mouth. Part of me LOVES that you only want mommy to feed you. The other part of me is kindof sad that we wont be able to go on dates because you have to be able to eat! But we will do what's best for you and to be honest, we have more fun when we are all together as a family any way.


This has been a harder month for you health wise with the allergy, the cold, the constipation and a rough diaper rash (which after several attempted creams and no healing I finally put breast milk on. Next diaper change the rash was gone. Go figure! That stuff is amazing!). Despite all that, youve been such a happy baby!

Youre napping great! Usually two 2 or 3 hour naps. It's awesome! Night times you seem a bit more restless but I think its due to being overtired sometimes.

Youre still the center of our world. I honestly dont know what we would do without you and I dont remember how we lived before we had you. In these short 6 months youve changed our world forever. You are such a little person and it's so amazing to watch you grow and learn every day. I feel SO blessed and honored that I get to stay home and be with you every single minute of the day. For some people that sounds overwhelming, sometimes it is. Sometimes I just want to crawl back in bed and go back to sleep haha, but then you give me a huge grin and a giggle and I just want to play with you, kiss you, take way too many pictures because I know that tomorrow you'll be doing something brand new and youll grow a little more. I already feel like youre childhood is just flying by.

I pray that you cherish this short time in your life when you're my little girl. I pray you enjoy the world around you as a child should and I pray that I cherish every moment I get with you. It's such a short time in your life when you get to be little, you have the rest of it to be big. SO be little my sweet daughter. Refuse a bottle and cuddle with mommy if you want to, sleep in bed with me if youre scared, laugh at daddy when he blows raspberries on your tummy, find wonder in your doggy, think your grandpa hung to moon. Love this time in life when all is well and right with the world. Let me shelter you from the harsh realities a while longer. Let me spoil you a little because babies cant be rotten ;-) Soon the day will come when you dont want to nurse, when you want to sleep in your own bed like a big girl, when you find your father annoying, and when you realize adults are just big children who make mistakes and are human. But for now, stay little:)
