Milestones:
You cut your first tooth!!!! We were staying at your Nana and Papa's house and you had a hard night and seemed in pain the night before. I kept giving you gas drops thinking that was the problem. In the morning the first thing I did was stick a finger in your mouth to check for teeth because it suddenly "clicked" that that mightve been the problem. Lo and behold you bit down with your brand new SHARP little tooth! The front, bottom left side tooth was your first to cut. I wish all your teeth would be this easy. Its so adorable!
Youve started officially crawling, well army crawling anyhow. You use your big toes to push of and your forearms to pull. It seems so much more difficult than a regular crawl, but youve gotten REALLY fast at it so I guess it works for you! Youre crawling so much youve rubbed little blisters on your toes.
You pulled up to stand one time. You havent done it since then but you do get in position to, just not all the way up.
You can say Ball! And you LOVE to say it!
You do your version of crazy dancing and I absolutely love it!
You tried peaches and peas for the first time this month and really loved the peas!
Youve really started to LOVE going to the pool! We get in and you splash like crazy, laugh and try to leap in to the water out of my arms (but I dont let you haha). I think youd stay there all day if I let you!
You give kisses!!! You will give me (and occasionally dada) kisses when we ask for them!
First time visiting Warner Robins since we left (and first car trip just you and me).
First time drinking from a straw! We were at Taco Bell and I had a Sprite, but you thought it was water so you started squealing for it. I knew you wouldnt like it (you hate even juice) so I let you try sucking on the straw (I also didnt think youd actually be successful at getting anything out). You did really well and got a LOT out but spit it all out immediately. The look on your face was priceless! Sorry sweetie!
Cute Things You Do:
You LOVE to look at yourself in the mirror. You giggle and laugh and sometimes try to kiss your reflection!
You love jumping in your jumper and shaking your head really hard. This cracks you up and is so cute to watch!
You still love bathtime and have really started to PLAY in the tub instead of just laying there.
Veggie Tales is still working wonders in car trips! I sang it at least 100 times heading to Warner Robins...
Youve started to pull on my shirt when you want to nurse. And I think its adorable, but Im sure those around us dont feel the same haha.
Youve really started having some separation anxiety. If I walk out of your sight you freak out. And if someone holds you that you dont know you freak out. I dont mind this a bit. I love that you feel safe in my arms. If that means a little inconvenience for me or other people Im willing to deal with it.
You shake your head when I try to feed you solids... every time. I guess youre not as ready as Id hoped yet.
You go NUTS when you see me drinking water out of a cup! You HAVE to have it! SOmetimes you pitch a fit if I dont share haha.
You hate juice.... I dont mind this so much except sometimes I really need you to drink some when youre constipated. You dont.
Favorites:
Balls! You love your plastic balls. They are some of your favorite toys. You go crazy when you see one.
You love to chew on bath toys
Pulling the DVDs off the shelf is still a new favorite.
Going for walks in the evenings.

In Other News:
Sleep: Youre still swaddled in the Woombie for all naps and night time. Hopefully we can try to break the swaddle soon. Youre refusing to sleep apart from me most nights. Well you were anyhow. After you cut your tooth I realized why that was and felt really bad for being so frustrated with you:( You were literally having to sleep TOUCHING me and it was causing me not to be able to sleep at all because I would get so hot or want to roll over and youd wake up. Thank goodness it was just a tooth and not a phase! I dont mind letting you cuddle with me a bit (had I known it was teething I wouldve been much less ill about it. I feel terrible about that). But since its come through youve slept much MUCH better!
Solids: youre still struggling:( You still gag often and many times you refuse to eat at all. We are working on it...
You are seriously the HAPPIEST baby EVER as long as youve had a nap and nursed. You are SUCH a talkative little thing! You constantly babble, squeal, laugh and screech through the day. Lately I have a hard time talking to other people because I have to talk over you ;-) Youre definitely our child! My little social butterfly :) You really LOVE play group now and enjoy seeing all the other kids. You still cant do much with them but youre content just being around them, watching them play.
Your daddy and I love you so much it HURTS. There are so many days when we still say "I cant believe how much I love this little girl." "I cant believe how lucky we are!" Words cant express how much you mean to us. Youre our world. We want so many things for you out of life, but first and foremost we want you to feel how strong and powerful our love is for you every day. My parents always told me Id never understand the love a parent has for their child until I had my own, I understand it now. I cant believe we MADE you from nothing and that God put YOU in to our lives and arms.
