Our year in snapshots

So I saw this on another blog I regularly read and I thought it was a great idea to keep quick recaps of the year. Since I just decided to do this there are a few holes in some of our months when R was deployed as I dont typically have much to take pictures of during those months, but I still wanted to do what we had so here goes!

January:

The last few days of December R headed for his second deployment and didnt return until the end of March. During that month we had a lot of Skype dates! I also spent a lot of time researching natural ways to enhance fertility as we headed in to our 9th month of trying to conceive before he left.
 

                                                                                              

February:

No pictures of this month as I spent most of it working a lot and R was deployed. We spent Valentines day apart but celebrated with the help of mail and Skype. 

March: R returned from his deployment at the beginning of the month and we made a wonderful trip to Savannah and also got to spend the weekend with Air Force pals we hadnt seen in a while. Though we didnt know it yet, this was also the month we conceived little bit!

April: This was a very exciting month for us because we found out we were expecting our little one after several months of trying! 

May: This month we saw our little one for the first time Via ultra sound at 6 weeks pregnant and also told our families that we were expecting. It was a very fun month!

June: June was both good and bad for us. Bad in that R's grandmother got very sick and eventually passed away, but God blessed us with some great moments with her before she left this world; good because we found out our little one was very healthy and now looked like a real human!

July: We found out our little bean was a little girl, but R also had to leave right after we found out for another deploment:(

August: This month I was busy getting Allie's nursery decorated and started my birthing classes.

September: This month was very eventful! I had both my NC showers and spent lots of time with family.

October: VERY busy and wonderful month! R was allowed to come home from his deployment early so he didnt miss Allie's birth, we decorated for fall and had tons of Halloween activities that we enjoyed dressing my bump up for!

 

November: We made one last trip to visit my parents before the baby came and R went hunting with my dad and killed his first buck! A few weeks later my parents came to my house to celebrate Thanksgiving since I was so close to term.

                                                                                                                                                                                 

December: As always this was the busiest month of the year, and this year was WAY busier than normal. I hit my last month of pregnancy, we had Maternity pictures taken, we went to several Christmas parties, I went in to labor and had Allie, we spent a week in the NICU (during which time we celebrated my birthday, Christmas and our wedding anniversary), then came home and started adjusting to having a little life we were responsible for.
