Our Names

As we get further along in this pregnancy that has been the main question: what names have we picked out. Some parents choose to wait until after the baby is already named to reveal, some choose to wait until they find out the sex, but we've had names picked out since the first few weeks of pregnancy. So to stave the dying curiosity that people have when it comes to baby names, I will share:)

Let me preface this by saying that our child's name is NOT up for discussion. These are the names we've picked out and they aren't going to change. We don't need anyone elses opinions on them. If we did, we would've asked before we picked them. If you like them, awesome. If you hate them, well then lucky you that you get to pick out your own kids name :-)

Without further ado:

Boy: Cooper Randall H.
Why we chose these names: Cooper- we both just fell in love with this name before we even got pregnant. It just seemed like it would 'fit' a kid that had our genes. Randall- this is R's father's name. We really love and respect him and felt it would be a great fit. It was hard to decide between his dad's name and my dad's name though because we love them both so dearly, so we just decided that our first son would have the name of the oldest dad :-) Our second son will have Richard (my dads name) as a middle name.

Girl: Alissa (Allie) Faye H.
Why we chose these names: My late grandmother's name was Allie Faye (she went by Faye). The girl names are harder for R and I to agree on, but one day he was just name browsing and said "What about Alissa?" Immediately all I could think of was the nick name Allie and how it was my grandmothers name, so of course I fell in love. Giving her my grandmother's middle name was a no brainer after that. We will probably refer to our daughter as Allie most of the time, but feel like the name Alissa will age well with her while we can still use Allie as a "pet" name.

Now we just wait a few more weeks to see which name it will be! I cant wait to find out if we are going to have a Cooper or an Allie!
