NT Scan

I had my NT scan (at the VERY last minute) at 12 weeks and 6 days. I am happy to report that so far all looks well and the measurements were in the "normal" range. I wont have complete results until my blood work comes back though. I have to say that having this u/s when I had it made a hard week a bit more bearable. R's grandmother had been in the hospital all week and I had gone up to be with her and the family until R got back in to town later that week.

Unfortunately he couldnt come to the scan with me due to work, but it was so wonderful and reassuring to see what had been a tiny blob weeks before become and actual human like figure! It was jumping (a lot!), sticking its tongue out and waving its little hands. I couldnt believe how active he/she was!

I got several pictures and went on my merry way (giddy is more like it!). The u/s tech had tried to get a good crotch shot but the baby wasnt cooperating very well. She did get a look between the legs and so far we didnt see anything there. Could be a girl or could be a few weeks before all the "parts" really develop. So for now we are just happy to have a seemingly healthy bean!
