I was terrified going in to the appointment that they wouldnt find the bean or the beans heartbeat, but lucky for me both were found quite easily on the abdominal ultrasound rendering an internal ultrasound unnecessary! I was so relieved to see that little flicker of a heart that I started to cry. R was thrilled too! The bean was measuring a couple days behind what I thought it should be, but considering it was just an abdominal shot, that can be normal. All parts that shouldve been there were there and everything looked fine so far!
I cant wait until the next ultrasound so I can see how much the bean has grown!
After this appointment we went "home" for Mother's Day and told the rest of the family that didn't know yet. Now we just wait until we can hear the heartbeat on the doppler and get a little bigger to tell the rest of the world!
