4 months old!

Stats:
Weight: 13.1 lbs
Height: 25"
Head Circumference: errr... i always forget!
Clothes: 0-3 snuggly fits, 3-6 usually fits ok if not just a tad baggy.
Diapers: Disposables are comfortably size 2's, cloth are smallest rise still.


Milestones: Le sigh... Where do I start. My heart aches a bit at how fast you are growing! Youve changed SO much this month!

You squeal! You still coo a lot, but your new favorite thing to do is to see how high and how loud you can make youre voice. You think this is AWESOME!

You baby giggle. Seriously your laughs melt my heart!!! You do it so often now and daddy and I know just how to get you giggling.

You think yawning is hilarious.

You also think kisses are funny.

Youve really started PLAYING! I cant believe how fast you went from "meh" to I MUST have a toy in the diaper bag for you!

You ENJOY tummy time now and spend a lot of time rolling over.

You celebrated your first Easter:) Your Mimi and Pawpaw were in town with us that week and got you all kinds of goodies and cute outfits. Daddy and I bought you several new toys. Mommy hurt her back really bad right before Easter so I wasnt able to get it all in a basket for you, but I did try! Your Easter dress was ADORABLE and you looked so sweet in it. We celebrated at church that morning and came home for a quiet day of relaxing and munching:)

You had your first "character" picture taken with the Easter Bunny and did really well! You werent really paying him much attention just looking around and smiling. We got a wonderful picture! However I didnt realize there was going to be a bunny there so you werent dressed the best, but oh well, youre cute in everything!

You REALLY want to sit up. I thought youd be late in this milestone, but you might just prove me wrong! You try SO hard when youre in your car seat to sit all the way up. Youre growing so fast!

You fight naps. BAD! This month you left the days of being an easy sleeper in favor of fighting all day. (and sometimes nights). The only way I can consistently get you to sleep for a long enough period of time is if I put you in the Ktan or Moby wrap and bounce/ walk around the house. You generally only stay asleep if Im up though. The second I sit down you start to stir.

Youve started waking up a lot at night. I feel like we are back to those early new born nights. Starting at around 12 you wake up either every 4 or every 2 hours. In your co sleeper its usually every hour. Yay.... "This too shall pass".

Youve started noticing other children and just laugh and talk to other kiddos! It's so cute!


Cute Things You Do:

You still wake up and give me this look like youre the happiest baby in the world and youve never seen anything as awesome as me before. It melts my heart EVERY single time!

Your favorite toy is your crinkle book.

You  love it when we sing "Splish Splash" during bath time.

You think Dozer is awesome and often laugh when he is near by.

You HATE wind in your face and you shake your arms and cry almost every time the wind gets you!

You also hate it when I go down the stairs too fast if youre facing out. Bless your heart it scares you! It took  me a while to figure this out because youd cry really hard every time I did it!

You like pulling on daddies nose.

You prefer to nurse instead of your paci. Mommy is not a fan. Youll still take your soothie but it takes some coaxing.

Favorites: You've really discovered toys lately and you have your favorites! It's so sweet :) Your very most favorite "keep you occupied forever" toy is your crinckle book. Your favorite teether is your Sophie Giraffe (good thing since some sweet baby shower guest shelled out 20 bucks for it!). Other favorite toys are your rattles and your sensory ball.

Youre also a big fan of anything that allows you to be in a sitting position so your Bumbo and jumper are big hits! This month we also still love your activity gym and your sensory play mat. Bibs are still in high demand in our household too as you are still a spit up queen and now that you're gums seem to be bothering you you drool like the niagra falls!

In Other News:

This month has been SO busy! with your grandparents coming in town, Easter, mommy hurting her back, you boycotting sleep and daddy starting academics (therefore being gone all the time) its been a bit hectic. We've met a lot of great new friends here in Columbus and had wonderful things to do. We are finally getting settled in our new home (though we STILL have some unpacking left to finish).

I cant wait to watch you grow this year and see all the new things you learn and discover. It's insane to think that by the time we leave this base next year youll be 15 months old! Youre amazing little angel. Even on the days when youve had no sleep and are angry I still feel so blessed and lucky to be your momma. Youre my heart little girl. I love you.
